Welcome to the home page of the University of Southern California Women’s Club Soccer Team! We are a student-run program at the University of Southern California that plays competitive intercollegiate soccer.

Since being founded, our program has since become one of the top college club soccer programs in the nation. We have consistently been a top contender in West Coast Soccer Association (WCSA) League’s Southern California Women’s Conference, as well as Region VI of the Nation. We have consistently qualified for the NIRSA National Championship Soccer Tournament. USC Women’s Club Soccer is made up of around 25 dedicated student-athletes, who balance the demands of school with playing a competitive sport.

We hold practice twice a week. This semester (Spring 2016), we practice on Monday nights from 8:00pm to 10:00pm on Brittingham Field, and Wednesday nights from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. During the Fall Season, there are games and practices every week and weekend up until Thanksgiving. The Annual Regional Tournament falls during Halloween weekend every year, and Nationals falls the week before Thanksgiving. Spring season is much like our Fall season. However, it is much shorter, with far fewer games and traveling. To be part of this team, each player must commit themselves to all practices, games, and related events. However, we also employ an “academics first” philosophy.

Because we are student-run, we get very minimal funding from the university. The funding we receive is not enough to cover all of our operating costs, including travel, equipment, and uniforms. Because of this, our players are required to pay dues to cover additional costs that our university funding does not cover. Depending on our schedule, travel needs, and various tournaments, dues can fall between $300 and $400 per season.

All of these things indicate the competitive nature of our team. At the same time, this team is more than just a group of talented soccer players – our team has become a very close knit group of friends. Our team members consider themselves to be family. Many members of this team will tell you that it has been the highlight of their college experience. Becoming a member of this team allows our girls to continue their love of soccer at the highest level and make lasting friendships.
